Good night of sleep, thinking about scripts and animation and code.. Code everywhere. And it's not even complex! Let's get back to it:
So, I had some issues with making the choice options work, so after fiddling with the script endlessly I asked Chris to pick his brains for an answer. It was so.. Simple.
EventSystem was missing! Added it in and all my options worked as planned out. So happy right now. Hell, yes.
--Forgot a bit before about the look of the Menu in Unity, so here ya go!--
Menu Scene (Screeenn..)
Pretty simple, and the first thing I managed to finish off. A small victory in making clickable objects within my menu that went on to the game, and showed some credits.. Gave me a bit of confidence if anything. So here's how it looks:
-picture.
Well, there's no specific character for the narrative. But the actual dialogue options is different from the ones for Characters and the Shadows.
You can also see here the amount of views I have in this one scene alone. That's to move the camera around. Just because it's 2D doesn't make it static guys!
The Script
Still linking up all the various sequences and playing it through for any flaws (at this point) but there's a fair bit going on here, as you can see. I wanted to break it up further which would have made it like 3 times as long.. That's a no go for my poor head.
You can also see the Inspector panel to the right there. When I click an object within the scene, or my project folders I can change their properties and add various components for them within my game to make them behave differently and what not. Pretty complex when you look at it but I've only learned to use what I need to for this chapter anyway..
Call upon the final scene!
Note: The finished sequences are all in this one. Woo!
Calling upon the final scene: The Graveyard.
The final part of Chapter 1! The End of the Beginning. ~
Peek at: Game Over
Yes, I added it in. I know, what.
Peek at: To be Continued & Graveyard
Because it's chapter one.. It just needed this okay.
And after all that work, it's bloody done! YES!
I'll send it up to the Fungus guys for uploading, check it out.
